The Human Factor in Energy Policy-Making (Presentation)

Nives della Valle, Scientific Officer at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, talks about the importance of the behavioural aspects in energy efficiency policy.

This presentation took place online during the WHY and NewTRENDs joint workshop. Both projects have as their objective the improvement of energy system models by increasing the behavioural aspects considered. WHY focuses on modeling the residential sector, NewTRENDs tries to capture new societal trends that affect globally. The projects invited Nives Della Valle to give an overview on how and why behavioural economics and psychology contribute to the energy policy-making practice.
