On June 21, the WHY project co-organised an expert workshop titled, “The Future is Flexibility:Smart solutions for the building sector’s decarbonisation and their role in system planning. WHY colleagues Leire Astigarraga and Cruz Borges presented how WHY is identifying household electricity consumption patterns and their role in flexibility. In the workshop, experts discussed and explored smart solutions and collaborations among crosscutting sectors, including municipalities, grid system planners, researchers, and commercial actors, to amplify demand flexibility that benefits consumers and the greater energy system.
