Call for Articles - WHY News

WHY is the next step in improving energy demand modelling and predicting household energy consumption. The WHY project develops innovative methodologies and a toolkit for short- and long-term household energy consumption modelling. Use cases benchmark these models ranging from local to European sized energy grids.  To bundle findings and outcomes of projects dealing with energy efficiency and energy consumption as well as modeling energy consumptions to support policies related to energy transition we seek to publish interesting news and articles. We seek articles and news from other projects and inititiatives, as well as by researchers or policy initiatives interested in distributing their results  in an easy-to-understand language.

The WHY Newsletter will be issued every 6 months. Next Issues: August 2021, February 2022, August 2022, February 2023, August 2023.

Next Deadline for Articles: 20th of August 2022.

Formats: News, Events, Calls, Articles*

Please, mention the format at the beginning of your submission.

We welcome proposals or finished manuscripts. We seek lively and original writing on energy system modelling, energy efficiency and energy policy, energy transition, capacity building in the energy sector. We define these areas broadly, to include allied fields such as green energy and energy saving, energy-related politics, energy research. We aim to publish interdisciplinary scholarship as well as essays, criticism, narrative journalism, photography, and multimedia work. We occasionally plan to publish work in other genres that illuminate the experience of communities and buildings.

Whatever the form, we value accessible language.
